Jerusalem ---- March 20, 2010 …. . At first, most of the educated public in the democratic world would respond with a resounding "no". While many of us who live in Israel and those of us who had actually been in Haiti would choose not to dignify the question with an answer.
I was sitting at an outdoor restaurant yesterday in Ra'anana, a sleepy, northern suburb of Tel Aviv with my 9-year-old daughter. We had just participated in the Ra'anana 3k Annual Fun Race when we sat down to have lunch.
Next to us were a couple from Holland who had just made Aliya (immigrated) to Israel. They spoke of the severe anti-Semitism in Holland, dating back to the Nazi occupied days of Anne Frank. They spoke about libelous TV and newspaper reports about the IDF stealing and harvesting human organs while on an humanitarian search, rescue and medical mission to Haiti.
My mouth opened, my teeth clenched and I looked away in deep anger.
First, I was deeply upset at those people who created such lies, blood libels against the Israel, the Jewish nation. Then, with pure logic and reason kicking in, I became upset at the Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Israel Prime Minister's Office for failing to inform me of these reports as I sat in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Field Hospital getting out news releases for Israel Flying Aid, the IDF and the many good doctors and nurses who were working through searing heat and humidity without break to save lives.

I was the only professional Israeli media consultant at the IDF Field Hospital in Haiti. And I thought that I truly had very little work to do as the mainstream media there had already realized that Israel had the only advanced field hospital up and running. But if I had been notified that there were vicious, false reports of human organs being stolen, harvested by the IDF, I would have called for a news conference, had the media observe 24/7 the operations taking place and had the media search the entire base for those "missing organs" taken from the Haitians.
So do I place my anger on those who make Israel appear like a bunch of barbarian thugs or do I address the lack of professional PR coming out of Israel?
As for Israel PR, we do not have the money nor the proper staffing of experienced public relations and public affairs professionals in our government. So I sit here inside my office on a perfectly sunny day in Israel at my computer. As do many other volunteers in Israel, the US, the UK, France and many other countries who give of their expertise, valuable time and dedication to defend Israel's reputation.
For public affairs has a direct effect on life on the ground.
Israel doctors and nurses worked day and night, fighting exhaustion, to treat Haitians and keep them alive.
They had very little time for themselves except to grab some sleep when they were able.
But given knowledge of these reports about the IDF stealing and harvesting organs from the crying and bleeding children in Haiti, they may have started to find some organs - "brains" - for those from Iran, Syria, Hamas and Islamic Jihad. And some anti-Semites in the US for whom I will not all mention as that is exactly what they are seeking - perverted attention.
The Israel doctors, nurses and medics in Haiti were struggling just to stay awake as they treated a river of humanity which came for help. While outside the IDF Field Hospital elite IDF search and rescue team with both sophisticated equipment and trained dogs searched for the living among the dust and rubble.
So one must address questions as to did the IDF steal or harvest organs in Haiti - for most of the public truly does not know and goes by whatever media they see or hear - whether it be the New York Times, CNN, FOX News, BBC, AP, Reuters or the amateurs who upload to Twitter, YouTube and Facebook.
If the IDF did try to steal or harvest organs from those in Haiti - where would they have placed them?
In the kitchen's refrigerators? Don't think so, there was just enough food for ourselves there.
How about in their caravans? We had no caravans, just small two man tents.
Maybe the stolen human organs were placed in styrofoam picnic baskets? Not there either - it was just too hot and how would they get those picnic baskets to aircrafts? The airport in Port-Au-Prince was closed except for US military traffic.
Was the US military transporting stolen human organs from Haiti?
Starts to get pretty absurd, yes.
But then again, Iran President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad denies that there was ever a holocaust!
The conspiracy theories have been reported as fact by Iran and Arab media, including Press TV, a state-funded Iranian TV news channel, and leading pan-Arab satellite news networks Al Jazeera and Al-Arabiya. In addition, newspapers in Jordan, Oman, Qatar and other Arab countries published series of editorial cartoons that depicted Israelis as vicious butchers who were gleefully cutting off the body parts of Arabs and trading in Palestinians' organs.
There is not one, not one shred of evidence of any kind that Israel attempted to or stole anything in Haiti. Israel only gave one thing - its humanitarian heart.
Ya see, the problem here is that this blood libel usually comes from Iran. And the Iranians were not in Haiti - they were too busy making nuclear weapons to destroy every democracy with.
For those in the Iran government - did they seek to steal or harvest organs from those who protest for freedom in Iran? Perhaps yes and how about UK Liberal Democrat Jenny Tonge and fake US black activist (if the man was real why was he not in Haiti helping his brothers?) T. West have they made any attempt to steal certain organs?
Yes, these organs are called "brains".

Looking at Iran we must ask: "what kind of government denies freedom, basic human rights, murders protesters, denies free speech, denies the Holocaust and sees every Jew and Christian as an Infidel for which they are ordered to murder by the Quran?"
So Iran gets the let's bash Israel PR ball rolling with its oil money. T. West, paid by Iran and desperately seeking attention (must have been deprived as a child) makes a YouTube video and then Jenny Tonge states that the "media" is confirming that the IDF is stealing organs from patients in Haiti!

Why would Israel travel half way around the world on an humanitarian mission risking the lives of their search, rescue and medical teams to steal human organs in Haiti when they could just take them out of Gaza?
Ooops, I forgot. The IDF does not control Gaza, Hamas does. Then maybe the reason why Hamas has built tunnels into Egypt was to smuggle out human organs for sale in Syria or Iran?
If this story gets you angry, just get upset at Israel Prime Minister Benjamin "Bibi" Netanyahu for not having enough experienced PR professionals in his expansive government to get the facts out in real time.
